Why Study at Aitas Japanese Immersion School?

There are lots of reasons why to study with our school! But where can one find a place to practice speaking Japanese? We have the solution for you!

We have an exclusive community event for our students where you can practice the communication skills that you gained in class, by mingling with native Japanese speakers and immersing yourself within the culture, from right here in Toronto! No need to back your bags and go to Japan, Japan can come to you!

Join us for our bi-weekly Language and Culture exchange club where students gather to greet, chat and learn through exchanging your thoughts, ideas and just having a fun making new friends.

We would love to help as many Japanese learners as possible experience the Japanese culture and language in Toronto. However due to the limited space and high demand, our events are limited to current and previous Aitas members only. We also recommend Level 2 and up attend these events.

JLPT Registration from Sept 1- Oct 6, 2017

Beginning on September 1 to October 6, 2017, you can register for this year's Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) for all levels, ranging from N5 (Beginner) to N1 (Native-Level). This test is designed for Japanese Language students in order to determine their level of proficiency in the Japanese language.

The JLPT has been hosted by the Japanese Section of York University on behalf of the Japan Foundation since 1997, and is also a joint event by Japanese language professionals at several universities across Ontario.

The JLPT will be held at York University on Sunday December 3, 2017. The fee for registration is typically $70.00 CAD (non-refundable) online, and can be completed using the York University's online registration form.
